According to plaintiff's counsel:

Green Bay Packer defensive tackle Ryan Pickett was exiting the Lambeau Field parking lot while driving his 2006 Ford Expedition when he collided with Pamela Young's vehicle. The accident occurred at noon on Lombardi Avenue in July 2006. Young claimed Pickett failed to yield the right-of-way.

Pickett reportedly signed at $14 million free agent contract with the Packers four months earlier.

Young claimed fractures to both kneecaps and a left wrist fracture in the accident. She was left with surgical scarring to her right knee, plus pain and stiffness in both knees and her left wrist. Young's medical expenses totaled $44,745.65, and she anticipated spending an additional $150,550.

She made a settlement demand of $620,295.65. Pickett initially responded with an offer of $250,000.

In March 2008 the parties settled the matter out of court for $390,000. Pickett's liability insurers, Scottsdale Insurance Co. and Chubb Insurance Co., paid the settlement.

Court: Brown County.
