Eric Johnson, an adult male, claimed he suffered a fractured scapula, rib fractures, punctured lung, cervical stenosis and lumbar disc herniation, resulting in a permanent disability, as a result of an automobile collision in which his tractor trailer, hauling lumber, was rear-ended by a vehicle operated by defendant Sanderson, and insured by defendant State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company, which caused lumber to come through the rear window and strike Johnson on the shoulder.
