Summary of Facts:
Sharon Galdick, a 73-year-old female, reportedly suffered a large hematoma on her lower leg, which resulted in necrosis of the skin and tissue loss, as a result of being struck and knocked to the ground by a vehicle operated by defendant Paul Salfer and insured by defendant State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company, as she was loading groceries into the trunk of her vehicle in a parking lot. The plaintiff contended that defendant Salfer failed to keep a proper lookout, and operated the vehicle at an excessive speed. Salfer denied striking the plaintiff with her vehicle. She contended that the plaintiff was not paying attention to traffic and inadvertently backed into her vehicle.
