Summary of Facts:
Plaintiff Shanda Coleman, a bus driver for Dairyland Bus Company, said she parked her bus in the Dairyland Bus Company parking lot owned and/or operated by defendant DeAngelis Construction LLC, which was insured by defendant Secura Insurance, a Mutual Company. The plaintiff said when she exited her bus, she slipped and fell due to the presence of ice in the parking lot.

The plaintiff said she suffered personal injuries, which included injuries to her knee and hip, due to the accident.

The plaintiff asserted DeAngelis Construction's negligence, which included failing to remove ice and snow from the parking lot and failing to maintain its parking lot in a safe condition, caused her accident.

The parties agreed to resolve the plaintiff's claims arising from the accident for $12,500, and sought court approval of the settlement.

The court approved the settlement terms.
